What is a chiropractic adjustment and how does it work?

A qualified Chiropractor uses special equipment or hands to adjust the joints in the body.

 

Another name for this treatment is the "manipulation" of the spine or joints.

 

It can help to reduce the discomfort, and help the alignment and the physical function of the body overall.

 

Chiropractors treat a range of musculoskeletal diseases.

The chiropractic can be used to treat low back pain, headaches, neck problems, muscle difficulties and other body parts.

What should i expect from a chiropractic adjustment?

Your chiropractor builds a treatment plan for you based on your symptoms, exam findings, and test results.

The chiropractor then uses their hands or small equipment to apply a fast, controlled push to a joint.

Your chiropractor may suggest other treatments in addition to chiropractic.

The following are some examples:

Advice on nutrition, diet, weight loss, and general health

Electrical muscle stimulation is achieved using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulators (TENS).

Treatment options include icing or heat therapy

Massage

Exercises and stretches

Stress-relieving and muscle-relaxing techniques
