MEDICARE
At our clinic, we strive to provide you with clear and helpful information about how Medicare works for chiropractic services. Below is a breakdown of what’s covered and how payment works.
Medicare Coverage for Chiropractic Care
Medicare can help cover some chiropractic services, but there are specific rules on what is and isn’t covered.
how medicare works with our office
We are an in-network, non-participating provider for Medicare. Here’s what that means for you:

-
Medicare Patients: We accept Medicare patients, but we do not accept Medicare as direct payment.
-
Billing Process: If you have traditional Medicare and supplemental insurance, we will submit a claim to Medicare on your behalf. However, payment for services is required at the time of the visit.
-
Reimbursement: If your care is medically necessary, Medicare will reimburse you for 80% of the eligible treatment costs.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage plans may offer additional benefits for chiropractic care, such as coverage for exams or therapies. Since these plans vary, we recommend checking with your specific plan for detailed coverage information.

STEPS TO ENSURE MEDICARE COVERAGE
01
Choose a Medicare-Approved Chiropractor
To receive coverage, ensure that the chiropractor you visit is approved by Medicare.
02
Medically Necessary Treatment
The treatment must correct a subluxation to be eligible for Medicare reimbursement.
03
Claims Submission
Our office will typically submit claims to Medicare on your behalf. Confirm this process with our staff to ensure everything is handled smoothly.
